Lost my Throwing Knife need advice on Metal Detector?
OMFG I lost one of my throwing knives that i just bought and I can't find it! I was trying to hit a target close to the ground but instead my knife took a nose dive and is probaly buried under 2"-4" of dirt, sand and St. Augustine grass (GRAGH!).
I figures that its not worth it spending tons of time looking (I've already used an industrial strength magnet) so I just want to get a cheap metal detector to find my poor little knife. If its cheap and reliable I really don't care what kind of metal detector (even a kids one) as long as it gets the job done.
Please help I've literally spent like an hour looking for it each day and when I go to sleep I have about 7-10 different dreams where I find it and gently tuck it back into its warm little sheath only to wake up and go ballistic.

Actually, Target sells one for $15 and it works quite well for general usage. Called Wild Planet Kid Quest. I have a $250 unit with all the bells and whistles, but this one would work for you. See it at targets website under metal detectors. I bought one of these for general use, and your knife would not need the stuff like pinpointers on it.
