How can I re-sharpen my Swiss army knife?

I recieved a Swiss army knife as a gift from my uncle and since then I've used it a lot particularly the smaller blade to a degree in which its beginning to dull. What can I use to sharpen my blade? Will a normal knife sharpener work? I don't want to do anything that may end up damaging it because his name is engraved in it.

I've found the best sharpening kit to be Lansky knife sharpener. It is about impossible to not get a perfect edge with this kit. Just follow the directions. I've been using these kits for 20 years and use it on all the knives I make for others. Kind of a fool proof method of getting an edge.

Kits can be a little pricey and can go for about $50.00 for a larger set ( 5 stones) but you wont normally need all five stones. Diamond stone sets cost a little more but the stones last longer. You can order them on-line or through Smoky Mountain Knife Works
