Which backpack style bag is recommended for a 17" Macbook Pro?

I have a 17" MacBook Pro and I am wondering which backpack style bag I should get. I tried one bag made by the Swiss Army Knife people and it was too tight of a fit to close the bag. If anyone has suggestions on a good bag to get it would really help me out. Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't know the specific name of a backpack for you to purchase for your laptop. Unfortunately, being a 17" means it's going to be hard for you to find something that fits securely but not tightly.

I recommend going to a travel store. Any that sell travel backpacks usually sell smaller packs as well that have room for a laptop. Also, places that sell computers (Best Buy, Future Shop, Staples, etc) all sell backpacks for laptops. They should sell ones that will fit a 17" laptop.

Another option is to buy a regular backpack as well as some 2-inch tight elastic and velcro from a fabric store. Cut 2 pieces of the elastic to fit the laptop (so they meet in the middle) and then stick the velcro into the part of the elastic that meets in the middle. Sew the elastic into the backpack. I know it's a hassle, but my friend had to do this with hers since she couldn't find anything for her 17" laptop either...
