Throwing knives for a beginner?
I have a choice between two types of throwing knives to get for christmas. I have little experience at all, so I want to know which of these two wold be a better choice:

I found the product descripions on the net:

This one is symmetrical, a friend told me this made a difference?
The other is:
"One-piece 420 J2 stainless steel blade and handle. Blade length of 4.25 in. High tensile cord-wrapped handle. Overall length of 8.63 in."
It only has a one sided blade.
Both are used, I'm supposed to pick one.
Any ideas on which would be the better choice?
