Do You Let Your Children Play With Toy Guns, Knives, & Other *Violent* Toys?

I was always the mother to say that my son would not play with toy guns or swords however I was only being hypocritical with myself...*sighs

I have learnt that boys with be boys and I do not want to deprive Jasper so I made sure to talk to him about the toys and that it is not nice to hurt others...and if he did hurt his sister or anyone else that he would loose his toys. He understands what is right and what is wrong so I do not mind him playing with toy guns.
There was another user that put children will use sticks as guns and therefor its all about imagination...and this is soo true. Jasper uses his toy shovel to play manhunt with the boys so it is all about their perception and whether or not there is a parent to enforce proper play.
Also Jasper will be hunting with the family and Geoff when he gets older and I want him to enjoy hunting and be knowledgable about hunting early so that he is level headed and safe while using the bow or the shotgun.
