S&W guns with survival kit... any good.?
So with income tax rolling in i decided to go to a couple of gun stores to get ideas on what my next firearm purchase will be. And i noticed that S&W and mossberg our now offering survival packs. Mossberg has pistol grip shotguns that come in water tight, floating tubes with pocket knifes. and S&W offers survival packs with their 500 and sigma pistols, and those packs come with about everything, pocket knifes, emergency blanets, fire starters, etc. for about 800 to 1200 dollars. I live in houston and we have to worry about hurricanes so i was thinking hey one of those might be a good investment. So i'm thinking about buying the S&W sigma survival pack. But i was thinking does anyone know if the tools it comes with are any good or will they break the first time i try using them. Is it like just a couple of peaces of garbage they just through in there to help sell their firearms.
My suggestion would be to make your own survival kit. That way you would have everything you need and want in the case. Start with a Pelican water tight case and go from there. That way everything in the case would be the type and quality that you desire, that goes for the firearm too.
