Making a horror/suspense movie for a school project, help me with some scary scene ideas?
It's going to be like a cloverfield camera-angle style, the story is this: there are two younger brothers home alone in their house. Their mom is dead and their dad is.... I dunno out or something. So the younger brother just got a new camera, and in the first scenes it shows him annoying his older brother with it, video taping him when he's sleeping and stuff. Then when he's watching the tapes and laughing later, he sees a man in the background in one of the videos. In the closet. With a hood and a knife. Smiling. So he's like what the... Then the lights go out. He turns on a flashlight, and you see the guys face behind him for a sec, then the main lights go on and its gone. Thats all I got so far. Any ideas?

right when the lights go back on his brother wakes up and sneaks behind him and scares him...rawrw!!!!!
he screams(aaah)
his brother laughs....
boy:you're a jerk you know that?
brother:what are you watching?
boy:nothing!!!!!!and tries to cover the tv.
brother:is that me?
boy:no!!!!
brother:your really gonna get it now!(starts chasing him)
pins him on the couch,starts wrestle with him and locks his arm around his neck,
brother:say uncle....
boy:uncle!!!!let me go now!!!
brother:fine...dont have a cow!!!whats your problem?
boy:would you just shut up and listen to me? look...this is the video i filmed while you were sleeping....
brother:so?
boy:so?look at this....(he fwds the tape to where the man is standing in the closet)do you see what im talking about?
brother:ya who the hell is that?
boy:(scared voice)i dont know....
brother :hurry call 911
he runs to the phone and punches in 911...
brother:whats wrong?
boy:theres no service!!!
brother:what?????no!!
brother:what about your cell phone?
boy:theres no service on it either i just checked!!!!im scared....
brother:ok calm down, for the mean time we have to get out of here and ask the neighbors for help...and call dad to let him know whats happening ok?
boy:ok...lets go... i dont wanna be here anymore.
as they are about to walk out the door the lights shut off and they hear a loud slam!!!!
boy:what was that?
brother:i dont know....(the older brother picks up the flashlight and gets a bat in his other hand)get the camera quick! and start filming whatever you see for evidence....
boy:why?
brother:just do it!!!!wait here.....
boy:no! please dont leave me alone!!!
brother:i have to see who it is....if you hear anything or im not back in 5 minutes run!!!you hear me? run and try to find help
ok....
meanwhile his brother leaves him he reaches for his camera and starts filming all around him.....and talks to himself
boy:"im gonna be fine".nothings gonna happen hes gonna come back right now no need to panic...
the brother searches the rooms and sees nothing as soon as he turns around he sees the man and screams,
(you see the flashlight drop to the floor and hear some struggle) then its suddenly quiet....
the younger brother hears his brothers scream and runs to the door while still filming with his camera,as he reaches the doorknob he realizes that he is locked in....
he hears the mans footsteps coming closer so he hides in the closet.
the man starts looking for him in the other rooms laughing
Man:(come out come out wherever you are?)
so the boy goes to the closest window and tries to open it....but its jammed...he hears the man coming
boy:no please!!!!no....(he starts to yell)help!!!help!!
he manages to get the window halfway open and pulls his upper body out...but then the man pulls his legs and the boy drops the camera and falls to the floor along with it....
you hear the boy struggling while the camera is still filming and just like before with his brother it is suddenly quiet...
you hear the man laugh(hahahaha) loking at the camera and says cheese!!!!in the scariest weirdest voice ever......
