Magnetic Strips and knives?
Does anybody know if those magnetic strips (to hang your knives on the walls) can cause dents and chips on the edge of knives? My knife keeps getting these dings and I can't figure out from where. Could it be from water damage or something, I have no idea anymore
I am a former chef and agree with the first person, hand wash in soapy water and hand dry, and when you remove them slide them off down to the handle and then release them.
I have never had a chip, I have ones from Ikea and the work great, I have over 40 knives from my years as a chef, and only have the one's I use the most out. If they do have damage, have them professionally sharpened to remove the chips and they can buff out the dings to.
