Is it really the Menopause with her? Or is that just an excuse for really bad behavior and judgement?
I'm in my 40s. Nice guy. Good manners. I was brought up to treat all women like ladies. But I seem to be God's own "Sh- - Magnet" when it comes to women because all the crazy ones seem to gravitate to me. I mean like getting mad over one dish in the sink and attacking me with a hammer in a perfectionist fit of rage. Or trying to run me over in their car for something totally minor. Or pulling a knife on me over an insignificant disagreement or burning me while I sleep. And each one of these has tried to excuse themselves by saying it was because they were going through Menopause or were pre-menopausal. After so much of this, I just decided to NOT DATE because women my age just turn out so volatile and crazy. I'm not so low as to rob the cradle with someone much younger, but I'm starting to think I should make it a requirement that anyone I go out with to be over Menopause. How much of this is truly hormones and how much of it is convenient window dressing as an excuse?
Hormones make women a little crazy. PMS NEVER killed anyone and it sounds like your ex-girlfriend might have or might in the future.
She is just crazy! I have had rages myself, I come from a brawling Irish family, but, what you describe sounds like a psychotic episode not a hormonal one! Meet someone who doesn't drink or do drugs. Maybe someone who has gone through something similar and can relate to it. Go to a nice group therapy because I know I would need it after that kind of blatant abuse.
