How to remove oil lubricant from a knife?

I bought a Balisong (Butterfly knife) just a little bit ago, and put oil lubricant on the bearings to keep them from squeaking, but I also put it on the lock. Whenever I try to flip the knife closed, the lock swings in between the handles and wont let it close. Any help?
