Where can I find wood to make knife handles?
My dad has made a couple of knives as a hobby and now needs wood for the handles. I was hoping to find a couple of blocks for his birthday. Anyone know of any places to order from? One place I found required $100 minimum purchase order.
Specifically hickory.
Try searching "knife making supplies". One source is below for wood handle blocks - with no minimum order. The "stabilized" wood used for handles is highly recommended, since it won't warp and is very tough.
I used to get blocks from Atlanta Cutlery, but I don't think they carry them any more.
