How do I care for my Swiss army knife?

I just bought a Victorinox Swiss Army knife and love it! This is my first pocket knife though, and I want to make it last, well, a lifetime. Any advice on how to properly care for it (maintenance, what not to cut with it, etc)?

Victorinox makes a good knife. Its really not hard to care for, keep it clean and don't pry with it. Most damage I see in knives comes from trying to use it as a pry bar or chisel.( I'm a bladesmith , I repair allot of knives) learn to sharpen correctly.
