Would this be illegal? (carrying knife)?

I own a small letter opener, a model of a katana. the blade is the length of the width of my hand and the handle is 1 inch, it has a cover (perfect replica of a katana) and it's made from stainless steel. I carry it on a belt most of the time, as it's my good luck charm but i'm wanting to sharpen it cos it's that blunt it wont open letters, would i be breaking the law if i sharpened it and carried it with me?

You'll see at para 5 that you and your letter opener are looking at between a high level community penalty (eg 250hrs unpaid work) or much more likely a short immediate custodial sentence.

Courts aren't f'ing around with knife crime at the moment.
