Is diamond stones or regular natural stones better for honing/sharpening knife?
What is the advantage to diamond vs natural? Does diamond last longer or is it harder on the knife shaving too much metal? Thanks!
Diamond impregnated stones are typically used to sharpen very hard tempered materials.Knife blades are not quite so hard and I would suggest first using a bench grinding stone then a hard arkansas stone to hone the edge.
