Shopping for a new cutlery set, i.e. butcher's knives, steak knives, and the like.?
Looking for a very decent set. Reasonably priced. Hope for a set with a sharpening kit. Price should be mid-range. Not willing to pay thousands of dollars for a premier chef's kit. Something for home-use, but above average. Something that will last, as long as I take care of it. Must be very dependable. Prefer something I can purchase at major or semi-major retailers or on-line. Thank you to all the honest answers for your time and cooperation!
Chicago Cutlery is the best.
They are expensive but will last 50 years if taken care of.
We have a set that was made in 1949.
Still the sharpest thing in the house.
