nocturnal fish hiding spots/lighting what did you set up(inexpensive and most effective gets best answer)?

alright i have a 55g tank with a clown knife a black ghost knife and 2 tinfoil barbs

1. Well good hiding spots to your fish will prevent you from seeing them more. I have used Black PVC tubes found any hardware store and angled them in my tank. You can get aquarium silicone and cover the tubes with a thin coating and stick sand or gravel to them and that will look good.
You can then turn the tubes at an angle so you can see the fish while they are hiding.

2. I use moonlights on several tanks and this provides some dim lighting for night viewing. simply purchasing a smaller wattage bulb may help you in this on your regular aquarium light.

3. You will need to go with fake plants if your cutting your lighting down. I use Fancy plant Giants from DrsFostersmith.com http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12124
These plants are awesome because they are tall and will float on top and cut your lighting down tremendously. Check them out. This supplier has great service and excellent prices.
