What do you think of my homemade emergency kit?

I'm planning to do alot of camping in and around the Algonquin Park area this summer, so I thought it might be a good idea to whip up a survival kit. Here's what's in it:
-It's all contained in a Pelican (watertight) 1020 case with an automatic purge valve
-pack of waterproof matches
-mirror (for signalling and in case the matches run out)
-orange garbage bag (for shelter and signalling)
-tea bag
-sugar, candy, and brown sugar oatmeal (for keeping up blood sugar)
-tinfoil (2 25cmx25cm sheets, folded up)
-whistle
-camp knife with scissors, can opener, etc.
-bandages and sterile pads
-needle and thread
-some duct tape
-I've also meant to put in some lightweight rope, pencil and paper, a book of things such as what's edible and what's not, and a compass

I would add some mono-filament line and fish hooks. The line can be used for anything from making a trap, tying up shelter or fishing. Plus it is very light weight. (never know when you'll need them) ( this is often included in military survival kits.)

Also throw in a box of steel wool and a flint stone. Great fire starter

for additional shelter or a light weight blanket, throw in a space blanket as well. Light weight, takes little space and will keep you warm.

and absolutely, DO NOT forget the 1st aid kit.
