Converting a Pocket knife into an automatic/spring assisted?

I bought a knife online that I thought was an automatic (ie push button, blade pops out). When I got it, it is not that at all. How can I (if I can at all) make it spring assisted?

Pretty doubtful that you could convert it and it probably wouldn't work right anyway.

But there are some reputable companies that you can order one from with proper ID. Brigade Quartermasters come to mind.
