My ex bf was charged with domestic assault for putting a knife to me and putting me in a head lock?
He also punched me. Well he was facing a felony and a misdemeanor and he was givin a plea deal he took it,They dropped the felony now he is trying to take the plea deal back. my question is 1 can he do that since he signed the papers saying he was guilty.

If he was facing a felony, and they dropped it, then he probably took the plea deal. However, just because he copped a plea, doesn't mean he is not guilty.
It just means a lesser charge, which in this case would be a the misdemeanor.
I hope you have a restraining order or an order of protection against him as well.
He is bad news, and the misdemeanor is only ONE up on the penal code from a traffic infraction.
I do not understand why the system is set up the way it is, if someone were to go into a store and beat up the store clerk, they would go to jail, However, if a man beats a woman it is not on the same penal code! This has to change.
By the way, there are men out there too who go through Domestic violence by women, however the percentage of women who go through Domestic Violence is higher, which is why we hear so much about it.
