Hunters, could you survive in the wilderness with just a knife?
I am not asking if it can be done as I know many who can. My question is can you? Do you have the skills and knowledge required to survive without a gun, or any other equipment, just a knife and your street clothes in a remote wilderness area in North America like Alaska or Canada?

First to the stupid answers;
I have heard too many times how some one “knows” how to survive like they are born with it or some thing. This attitude is remarkably naive as with any skill it must be learned. Are people born with the knowledge of building shelters and were to build them? If so why have people built shelters on a river bank only to have it washed away with a flash flood during a rain. And why have hunters and hikers died after being lost in the wilderness? Its because the “know-it-alls” don’t know squat and get killed.
There are survival schools that one can learn survival skills and the military teaches Special Forces such survival skills. I would bet money if one asked an Army Ranger if he was born with his survival skills he would laugh at you.
Many die each year in the outdoors who thought they were able to survive in such situations. And I see we have a few here that would fit that category.
Anyone, not just hunters who venture into the wilderness should know basic survival skills. It could save another life.
Now to answer the question; yes and I don’t need a knife I could make cutting tools from rocks. I have had training from old trappers in Alaska as well as Native Americans. I learned and applied what I learned to master it, just like any other skill.
