I am applying for a job at my local River Island.
But i'm a bit stuck on one of the questions - "What could you do to contribute to excellent service within river island?"
Well what could i say to it if i don't understand?
Could some people help me and tell what i should put?

Treat this as tips because your actual answer/s should come from your heart, at least.
I guess the question is, "what can you contribute to river island (I assume this is a company) in order to provide excellent service to customers?"
If I'd be asked, I'd say, I'll equip myself with all the product knowledge or the services offered to customers. With this, I'd be very confident to deal with all the customers who'll come my way; Giving excellent service means giving each and every customer the special treatment and value-added service. By giving value-added service means giving service beyond the normal accorded to a customer. There are a lot to do that can make the customer a truly satisfied customer and you will know this when the customers come back and more customers come. This is called "multiplier effect".
